TEDOM diesel engines are also suitable for the railway vehicles. They can be used in passenger carriages as well as in freight cars.
If higher performance is needed, two engines can be used in tandem and can be controlled separately.
TEDOM engines are based on well-established and, in the recent past, by far the most frequently used engine for trucks and buses in the Czech Republic. The engines have undergone substantial modifications for application in modern vehicles, while all their proven features have remained unchanged.
TEDOM engines can be also used as a full replacement for LIAZ engines while vehicles are being repaired or converted.
TRAIN type engines comply with the requirements of the UIC III.B railway standard.
